Every Organization Wins This Year: Register for Give for Good Louisville
Written by Christina Miller
There’s something special about what happens when a community comes together to give. And on September 10, that spirit will be on full display once again.
Give for Good Louisville is back for its 13th year, and annual registration for local organizations is officially open at GiveForGoodLouisville.org.
Hosted by the Community Foundation of Louisville, the region’s biggest giving day has become a powerful force for good across Kentuckiana, connecting thousands of donors with hundreds of local organizations making a difference. Since it began in 2014, more than 198,000 people have come together to invest over $80 million into organizations across our region.
But this year, there’s a special surprise for participating organizations.
Every Organization Receives a Cash Prize
Thanks to longtime supporter and Premier Prize Partner, the Sam Swope family, every organization that registers and is approved to participate will receive a cash prize.
That means no matter your size, mission, or fundraising goal, your organization will walk away with additional funding, just for being part of Give for Good Louisville.
“As a long-time supporter of Give for Good Louisville, our family believes in the value this giving day brings to our region,” said Patti Swope. “In recognition of the good work these nonprofit organizations do every day, we are granting every single organization that participates a special cash prize as a way to thank them for their dedication and commitment to the community.”
It’s a powerful show of support for the organizations that are showing up for our community all year long.
A Chance to Grow Your Impact
Of course, the opportunity doesn’t stop there.
Give for Good Louisville is more than an online giving day; it’s a chance to grow your visibility, connect with new donors, and strengthen relationships with your supporters. Last year alone, more than 26,000 donors helped raise a record-breaking $10.4 million for 645 organizations.
“Give for Good Louisville is an organization’s chance to deepen donor relationships, make new connections, and gain exposure to new audiences,” said Ron Gallo, President and CEO of the Community Foundation of Louisville. “With a record-breaking year in 2025, we want to build on that momentum with even greater community participation. This is our chance to invest in local organizations doing good work across Kentuckiana.”
With hundreds of thousands of dollars already committed to this year’s prize pool from generous corporate partners, like Churchill Downs Inc, Derby City Gaming and Hotel, Caesars Foundation of Floyd County, and Brown-Forman, participating organizations will also have the chance to earn additional prizes ranging from $100 to $20,000.

Organizations of all sizes are encouraged to participate, including nonprofits, churches, schools, and other eligible groups serving Bullitt, Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, or Spencer counties in Kentucky, as well as Clark, Floyd, and Harrison counties in Southern Indiana.
