Create a Scholarship Fund

When you create a Scholarship Fund at the Community Foundation of Louisville, you provide resources for students based on the selection criteria of your choice, and you leave a legacy that will enrich our community for generations. These endowed charitable funds are a wonderful way to honor a loved one, assist specific student populations, or encourage a field of study.

“I’m very inspired by today’s generation.” – Henry Heuser, Vogt Educational & Leadership Scholarship

Why Establish a Scholarship Fund With Us?

Personalized and Quality Service

Our experienced staff will work with you to capture your vision for the scholarship purpose and your educational priorities. We manage the details and administrative paperwork to ensure scholarships are awarded on time, in compliance with all applicable regulations, and in accordance with your charitable wishes. You name the scholarship fund and decide the eligibility criteria.

Easy and Accessible for Students

With our single online application, students can apply for over 90 scholarships at once. For example, when a student applies for your scholarship, they are automatically connected to numerous other scholarship opportunities. Our Scholarship Program Coordinator provides outreach to eligible students, assists them with the application process, and works with the scholarship selection committee to ensure the award reaches the students it was designed to assist.

Build A Charitable Legacy

Your gift of $50,000 or more creates a Scholarship Fund and is invested for growth to provide educational resources for generations. Gifts are tax deductible and can be cash, stock, IRA distributions, real property, mutual funds, or even closely held business interests. You can add to your fund at any time. Our annual tiered support fee is 1% of the fund balance, and there is a 5% fee on the total scholarships awarded each year.
