Kentuckiana Makes History Again: Give for Good Louisville Raises Record-Breaking $10.5 Million

This year, Kentuckiana answered that question in a big way.

During the Foundation’s 13th annual Give for Good Louisville, 26,571 generous donors made 53,275 gifts to support 665 nonprofit, educational, and religious organizations across the region. Together, they raised an incredible $10,530,421, making this the most successful Give for Good Louisville in history and marking the second consecutive year the community has broken fundraising records.

Every donation, share, and act of encouragement helped make this milestone possible. More importantly, it means thousands of people across our region will benefit from the work of organizations that provide food, shelter, education, healthcare, arts programming, animal welfare services, and so much more.

“Breaking records for a second year in a row is an incredible milestone, and means more support than we’ve ever seen before for organizations working in our communities daily,” said Ron Gallo, CEO Emeritus of the Community Foundation of Louisville. “This achievement is especially meaningful to me, as this is my last giving day as CEO. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together and excited to pass the torch to our new CEO, Tawanda Owsley, who will continue to lead this important event and its impact into the future.”

Every Organization Received a Boost

One of the most exciting highlights of this year’s giving day was the support provided beyond individual donations.

Thanks to the generosity of Premier Prize Partner, the Sam Swope family, every participating organization received a $150 cash prize, ensuring that all 665 organizations benefited from the day’s success.

One of the most anticipated moments of Give for Good Louisville each year is the Greatest Two Minutes in Giving, sponsored by Churchill Downs Inc. This year, Alley Cat Advocates claimed the day’s biggest prize, receiving a $20,000 boost to a donation during the live prize event.

Many organizations also earned additional prize dollars throughout the event thanks to support from prize partners including Churchill Downs Inc., the Sam Swope family, Derby City Gaming, Brown-Forman, Caesars Foundation of Floyd County, and others. These prizes rewarded organizations for everything from donor engagement and fundraising momentum to social media participation and campaign creativity.

More Than $90 Million Raised Since 2014

Since its launch in 2014, this Foundation initiative has become a powerful force for local philanthropy, helping connect donors with causes they care about while strengthening the nonprofit sector across the region.

In total, Give for Good Louisville has now raised more than $90 million for participating organizations serving Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer, and Bullitt counties in Kentucky, along with Clark, Floyd, and Harrison counties in Indiana.

While record-breaking numbers are worth celebrating, the true impact of Give for Good Louisville extends far beyond a single day. Every dollar raised helps nonprofits continue serving neighbors, solving community challenges, and creating opportunities for people across Kentuckiana.

To every donor, nonprofit, sponsor, volunteer, and community champion who participated this year: thank you for making good happen. Together, you made this our biggest giving day yet.
