Hope Health Clinic, one of the Oldham County Community Foundation’s grant recipients, opened in September 2011 to provide reduced cost medical care to those throughout the Oldham County area who are without insurance or cannot afford their deductibles. Most of these patients represent the working poor: those working in daycares, service stations, and fast food restaurants, among other roles. Hope Health Clinic specializes in providing quality primary health care to the workers who serve us every day.

A patient can be seen by a medical provider for only $15 and can obtain basic laboratory services at a greatly reduced rate. Additionally, in 2020, the Clinic was able to open an in-house pharmacy providing basic medications to patients at no cost – a service that has proven extremely helpful in removing a critical barrier for patients who are otherwise forced to choose between purchasing medications or paying rent.

Thanks to support from the OCCF and many others, September 2021 will mark the Clinic’s 10thanniversary!
