12th Annual Give for Good Louisville Breaks New Records, Raising Nearly $10.5 million for Kentuckiana Nonprofits

Thousands of generous donors across Kentuckiana set brand new records for fundraising Thursday, as the Community Foundation of Louisville’s 12th Give for Good Louisville campaign broke four all-time records of raising money for local nonprofits. As of Friday afternoon, 26,219 donors donated 49,664 gifts, raising $10,476,507 for a record number of participating Kentucky and Southern Indiana nonprofits, educational and religious organizations.
“Organizations truly form the heartbeat of Kentuckiana, and achieving this unprecedented milestone—surpassing every previous record despite the significant funding obstacles our nonprofit community has encountered this year—stands as a testament to the remarkable generosity that defines our region,” remarked Ron Gallo, President & CEO of the Community Foundation of Louisville. “We are deeply grateful to our donors, partners, and organizations for their unwavering commitment and investment in making our community stronger.”
This year, 645 organizations participated, an increase of 9% from 2024. Each organization received a $125 cash prize thanks to this year’s Premier Prize Partner, the Sam Swope Family. Hundreds of organizations also received thousands of additional dollars in cash prizes thanks to prize pool partners including Churchill Downs Inc. and the Sam Swope Family, as well as Derby City Gaming & Hotel, Brown-Forman, Caesars Foundation of Floyd County, and more.
Kentucky Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice claimed the biggest prize of the day during Churchill Downs’ Greatest Two Minutes in Giving, earning $20,000 for their organization. For a full list of this year’s prize winners, click here.
Since 2014, Give for Good Louisville has raised more than $80 million for participating organizations in Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer, and Bullitt Counties in Kentucky, and Clark, Floyd, and Harrison Counties in Indiana.
