A program that helps artists advance their careers by building business acumen. An initiative that equips nonprofit executives with high-level leadership skills. An unprecedented day of unity in the name of philanthropy. Those are just a few of the ways we’re transforming our community, one person and one gift at a time.

Give for Good Louisville

An unprecedented day of unity in the name of philanthropy. Communities from across Kentucky and Southern Indiana join forces to give vital support to 500+ participating nonprofits creating positive change for thousands of individuals in need. In 2021, Give for Good Louisville raised over $8.9 million for organizations throughout Kentuckiana.

Alden Fellows

The Community Foundation of Louisville believes that Louisville’s nonprofit organizations are strengthened when more nonprofit leaders have access to high quality professional development opportunities. Each year, in support of such work, we select five leaders as Alden Fellows. By invitation, nonprofit executive directors, presidents, and CEOs are asked to develop a plan for their personal and professional growth which will elevate their work as a leader, benefit their organization, and impact the community. Fellowships of $7,000 are awarded to individuals who exhibit a unique curiosity, a commitment to the Louisville community, and a sincere interest in exploring their full leadership potential.

Hadley Creatives

During challenging times, artists have played an important role in elevating the voices of the unheard. They have helped us see, hear, feel and consider different perspectives. As we collectively experience what some call a threefold pandemic of health, poverty, and racism; the Community Foundation of Louisville and our partner, Creative Capital (New York, NY), will delay the application process for Hadley Creatives: Generation 4 until summer 2021.

Fiscal Sponsorships

The Community Foundation can play a vital and unique role in supporting partners and groups creating good in our community. By assisting others not-yet-incorporated through fiscal sponsorship, we allow change agents to test the viability of charitable efforts, support collective impact initiatives, and create space for collaborations and partnerships that can extend the services provided and collectively increase community good. To ensure our ability to effectively sponsor efforts, each opportunity is assessed individually considering alignment of expertise, resources, project needs and opportunity for impact. At this time, the Community Foundation is retooling programs to align with our new strategic plan. We will begin considering new projects for fiscal sponsorship in January 2023.
