The 2018 Goff Challenge: Louisville Urban League Sports & Learning Complex
The Community Foundation of Louisville invites you to join us in meeting a catalytic community wide challenge, and we have until December 31st to do so!
The Louisville Urban League is leading our community to develop a world class sports and learning complex as a transformative cornerstone of West Louisville’s changing landscape. This historic development will spur economic and community growth; transform toxic and abandoned property into a thriving local business and green space; and create an accessible, affordable health and wellness facility for a community with a life expectancy as much as 13 years shorter than the rest of our city.
The Community Foundation of Louisville is all in. Collectively, we can drive change to create a community where people and place thrive. This opportunity will help us link arms to make lasting community, economic, youth development, and health impact for generations to come. We can all come together to create lasting impact in West Louisville by supporting the Louisville Urban League Sports and Learning Complex.
It is time to be bold, to do something more, to step up for this meaningful investment. At the Community Foundation of Louisville, we know that no single family or institution can change Louisville alone. As a donor with the Foundation, you ARE a force for good. Together, we can rise to meet this challenge and show our neighbors that we are all in.
Join the Funding Challenge
If the community can raise $3 million by December 31st – to match a recent $3 million gift from the James Graham Brown Foundation – local philanthropists Stephen Reily and Emily Bingham will make an additional gift of $250,000 to the Louisville Urban League. Successful completion of this challenge will bring the total amount of funds raised for the Sports and Learning Complex to over $20 million of the $35 million needed. We are challenging our fundholders to raise $1 million towards this goal.
