Winsday presented by Resolute Racing is back for 2026! This unique Kentucky Derby Week event shines a spotlight on local nonprofits and their incredible missions. It’s more than a day of racing—it’s a celebration of the pivotal role nonprofits play in our community. By purchasing tickets through one or more of the 50 participating nonprofits, guests enjoy a day at the races during Derby Week and contribute directly to local causes.

Everybody walks away a winner on Winsday! Participating nonprofits have the chance to engage in additional fundraising beyond ticket sales and earn special cash prizes. For any organization that does not unlock one of the Winsday prizes below, $500 will be awarded to them for participating. Special thanks to Churchill Downs, Inc. for sponsoring this year's prizes!
Charity Post Draw
Just like the Derby Post Draw, but with a twist! On April 29, 2026, during the ‘Winsday’ race day, the Churchill Downs team will host a live drawing in which 20 of the 50 nonprofit participants will be randomly paired with a Kentucky Derby post position.
The nonprofit paired with the winning post position of the KY Derby on Saturday, May 2, 2026, receives $20,000; second place $15,000; third place $10,000; and fourth through twentieth place $2,500 each.
Please note that being chosen for this drawing makes organizations ineligible for Second Chance and Supporter Drawings.
Second Chance Drawing
Another opportunity for participating nonprofits to secure additional funds! The 30 nonprofits not randomly selected for the Charity Post Draw are eligible to be randomly selected for three second chance drawings ($2,000 each). Winners will be drawn live by the Churchill Downs team during ‘Winsday’ race day on April 29, 2026.
Supporter Drawing
Participating organizations that aren’t randomly selected for the Charity Post Draw or Second Chance Drawing are eligible for a Supporter Drawing.
For every ticket purchased through a participating nonprofit’s ticketing link, Churchill Downs will randomly select four ticket purchasers for an additional $2,000 donation to the nonprofit associated with their ticket purchase. The more tickets an organization sells, the more chances they have to win $2,000! Winners will be drawn live by Churchill Downs during the ‘Winsday’ race day on April 29, 2026.
Top Ticket Seller Prize
The three organizations that sell the most tickets will receive additional cash prizes: $1,500 for first place, $1,000 for second, and $500 for third. These awards are independent of the other prize drawings.
