Tawanda Owsley

Tawanda Owsley is an accomplished nonprofit executive with nearly 25 years of leadership experience spanning philanthropy, marketing, communications, community engagement, and organizational growth. She has led multidisciplinary teams, strengthened brand strategy and strategic messaging, advanced fundraising initiatives, and built meaningful relationships with donors, board members, community leaders, and other key stakeholders.

Her executive experience includes leading philanthropy, numerous multimillion-dollar fundraising campaigns, strategic planning, leadership development, board engagement, and collaborative problem-solving for prominent nonprofit, healthcare, and academic organizations, including Hosparus Health, the American Red Cross, KentuckyOne Health, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, the University of Kentucky, Norton Healthcare, and Metro United Way. Known as a compelling philanthropic leader and thoughtful relationship builder, she brings a results-oriented approach to expanding impact, elevating visibility, and inspiring financial support for mission-driven work.

Tawanda has contributed her expertise through service on numerous nonprofit, business, civic, arts, transportation, and community-development boards. She currently serves on the Kentucky Nonprofit Network Board and Metro United Way, continuing her commitment to strengthening organizations and communities.
