Shyla Thomas

Shyla Thomas is the welcoming first point of contact at the Community Foundation of Louisville, where she greets visitors, manages incoming calls, and keeps the front desk running smoothly. With 15 years of experience as an executive assistant in the healthcare industry, Shyla brings a polished, professional presence and a deep understanding of what it takes to support a busy organization.

Throughout her career, Shyla has supported senior leadership, coordinating schedules and managing correspondence, travel, and customer service. Shyla is known for being organized, dependable, and calm under pressure, with a talent for making every visitor, donor, and community partner feel valued.

Shyla is honored to be part of the Community Foundation of Louisville team and feels she is living her best life. Spreading kindness is what she considers her calling, and she brings that spirit to every interaction. Outside of work, Shyla is the proud mother of an amazing almost 16-year-old, who is her whole world. She loves listening to music, reading, singing, and spending time with her dog and cat, whom she happily spoils rotten.
