Sarah Lempke O’Hare

As Director of New Fund Development at the Community Foundation of Louisville, Sarah focuses on cultivating new fund holders. Bringing over a decade of relationship-building, program development and community impact work, Sarah is excited to work with the Community Foundation team focusing on cultivating the next generation of philanthropic giving in Louisville. Her deep knowledge of Louisville’s communities, institutions, and people allows her to connect donors to causes in a meaningful and targeted way.

With a background in oboe performance and arts administration, Sarah has worked in a number of arts administrative leadership roles at various arts and education organizations throughout the country. Most recently the Louisville Orchestra for the past five years, she led the creation of several new arts-driven civic programs serving the entire Commonwealth of Kentucky. Sarah graduated from the University of Louisville’s School of Music with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and minor in Business Administration and also holds a Master of Arts Administration, and a Certificate in Fundraising Management from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs.

Sarah serves on various boards in the Louisville community and is an active Jefferson County Public School parent volunteer. She enjoys hiking, gardening, and participating in the Louisville arts and music scene. Her pride and joy are her wonderful husband and two beautiful, small boys.
