Jalynn Gerrard

Jalynn joined the Foundation as a Grants Associate in October 2025, bringing a diverse background in customer service, legal support, and event coordination. Her career began in customer support working for Netflix prior to and during its early launch, and later became a legal assistant in family, employment, and bankruptcy law. She also has experience managing political fundraisers alongside senators and lobbyists while living in California.

Born and raised in Sacramento, California, Jalynn moved to Louisville in November 2020, drawn by her love for the city and its vibrant community. She is passionate about libraries as vital community resources and advocates for women and families overcoming domestic violence, supporting shelters and related initiatives.

Outside of work, Jalynn enjoys British Premier League soccer—especially West Ham United F.C.—along with classic literature like Jane Austen. A devoted music enthusiast, her interests span genres and is particularly captivated by classical music such as Beethoven. Jalynn lives in the Highlands with her two cats.
