Jemiyah Johnson joined the Development and Stewardship team as a Grants Associate in March of 2021. Jemiyah possesses a background in finance, non-profit leadership, and education — bringing an eclectic and exuberant perspective to the team. Her most recent role was Digital Experience Specialist at Republic Bank.
Jemiyah is passionate about community building and outreach. Most notably, she serves as a volunteer board member for Change Today, Change Tomorrow, a 501(c)(3) whose mission is devoted to eradicating the barriers that plague the Black community in education and community service. Jemiyah also serves as a Mentor for Big Brother Big Sisters of America. Her interest in education and working with youth does not stop there, as she previously acted as a Certified Substitute Teacher for Jefferson County Public Schools from 2017-2020.
A member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Jemiyah graduated from the University of Louisville with a B.S in Communication in 2018. There, she was initiated into the Xi Chapter and an executive board member for the campus organization Empower Ladies Together.
