Year-end Giving

Your Philanthropy Lifts Us All

In a year of continued and unprecedented challenges, philanthropy lifts us all, strengthens our bonds, and inspires our entire community.  As we near the end of the year, we wanted to share two opportunities for you to maximize your charitable giving.

Create a fund

There are many benefits to establishing your own personal, charitable giving account at the Community Foundation. We offer both Donor Advised Funds and Charitable Checking Funds for generous individuals who want to simplify, organize, and maximize their charitable giving.

With both options, you may be eligible for an immediate tax deduction at the time you make a gift into your fund, then you can use your fund any time in the future to support your favorite charities. A Donor Advised Fund may grow through investment gains, which can create more charitable dollars for you to contribute. And both funds can easily accept gifts of marketable securities, potentially eliminating your capital gains tax exposure.

Creating a charitable fund at the Community Foundation can be a vital tool that maximizes your charitable resources, allows you to support the causes you care about most, and helps you make a lasting difference in our community.
