Give Local Louisville Nonprofit Registration Now Open
Give Local Louisville will return on Thursday, September 15, 2016. This is the third consecutive year for Give Local Louisville, a 24-hour online giving day encouraging residents of metro Louisville and southern Indiana to donate to their favorite local nonprofit organizations and causes. Last year, Give Local Louisville made history by raising $3 million from more than 5,000 donors for the 362 local charities – cementing the event as the biggest day of local giving. Nonprofit registration will be open from May 15-July 15 at givelocallouisville.org.
“Last year was a record-breaking day of giving for our community, and we anticipate even more donors, more nonprofits and more money raised for good causes this year,” said Cara Baribeau, the Community Foundation’s Vice President for Marketing and Communications. “We are building on the success of 2015 to continue to enhance the experience for donors and nonprofits including new prizes and incentives for giving and more training workshops for participating nonprofits.”
“Our goal this year is to get even more nonprofits involved and to engage new donors to support the organizations that make our community a better place to live,” said Anne McKune, the Community Foundation’s Program Officer. “Last year proved that we, as a community, can work together to recognize and support the local nonprofits doing great work in our own backyard.”
