CFL Impact Capital Announces Three New Deals

What if you could contribute to a meaningful community project and recoup your funds to reinvest in future charitable endeavors? It’s possible through CFL Impact Capital and we have three new deals in which existing or new donors can join us to enable transformational change in our community.

Passport Health & Well-Being Campus

If you drive past the vacant lot at 18th and Broadway in West Louisville today, it’s hard to see the transformation underway. In 2020, Passport Health Plan’s headquarters will occupy the space, bringing with it a wealth of opportunities to strengthen the neighborhood. This vacant lot will become home to new employment, healthcare, education, healthy food, and arts opportunities. It’s exciting to think about that kind of transformation. To get a sense of what’s underway, enjoy this brief video.

CFL has extended a $500,000 loan to Passport Health Plan as part of the financing necessary to construct Phase I of a two-phase project that will transform the California neighborhood in West Louisville. This $130 million economic and community revitalization project will result in a new headquarters for Passport and provide co-location opportunities for multiple health and wellness service providers and community development-focused efforts.

Join us to hear from the leadership at Passport about how this CFL Impact Capital loan will help them and how you can join CFL in this loan by deploying your charitable principal in a new way.

YouthBuild Expansion

YouthBuild Louisville transforms young lives. Young adults, age 16-24, come to YouthBuild from some of Louisville’s most distressed neighborhoods, where they are witness to poverty, unemployment, and violence. In the last two years, 100% of YouthBuild’s students have been placed into jobs, college, or both, and since it was founded in 2001, 82% of its students have attained degrees and meaningful career-related certifications. To see the impact on our youth, see this short video.

YouthBuild will use the proceeds from the $200,000 loan as part of the financing necessary to add 8,000 square feet to a building on its campus in Louisville’s Smoketown neighborhood. With new classroom and office space, YouthBuild will offer a new culinary training program and expand its environmental program. It will also provide office space for revenue-producing (in the form of rent payments) partnerships with local entities that extend the mission of YouthBuild.

Join us to hear from the leadership at YouthBuild about how this CFL Impact Capital loan will help them and how you can join CFL in this loan by deploying the underlying assets in your charitable fund in a new way.

Day Spring – Securing the Future

Vulnerable adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities have benefitted from Day Spring’s caring support for more than 37 years. With a $275,000 loan from CFL, Day Spring is renovating a building that will help the organization grow after a recent merger. With a waiting list for services, organizational growth will make it possible for Day Spring to serve more adults in need. The care and kindness provided through Day Spring touches many as you can see in this brief video.

Leveraging $275,000 in loan funds from CFL to renovate their new facility, Day Spring is able to more quickly realize the benefits of merger by focusing staff time and effort on delivering and growing excellent programming instead of embarking on a years-long fundraising campaign.  In addition, this merger will allow the organization to serve more adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities, reducing the waitlist for services.

Join us to hear from the leadership at Day Spring about how this CFL Impact Capital loan will help Day Spring and how you can join CFL in this loan by deploying your charitable principal in a new way.
