The Next Louisville: Dropout Profiles
Beginning Wednesday, March 6 on 89.3 WFPL News
Kamani Straub says he left Seneca High School just a few credits shy of graduating. Pierre Travis says he left Buechel Metropolitan High School after being arrested for threatening a teacher. Steven Gulson says he didn't fit into any social group and he found school boring.
These are former JCPS students who all have one thing in common: they didn't graduate.
As part of The Next Louisville: Public Education project, we're profiling the people behind the statistics and we're helping tell the stories that demonstrate the situations students face.
The series will run over the next month beginning this Wednesday, March 6 during Morning Edition from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM and during All Things Considered between 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM.
