The Community Foundation of Louisville, Inc. manages endowed assets entrusted to us by donors in a manner that will provide for the long-term growth of the funds, keep pace with inflation, and provide a predictable amount for charity each year – thus building a sustainable, permanent and growing philanthropic resource for our community. | BALANCED FUND This portfolio is a diversified mix of 65% equity investments and 35% fixed income securities managed by professional investment managers. This allocation is designed to balance long-term return requirements with short-term stability needs. This fund employs a combination of active and passive management designed to maintain purchasing power of the principal and annual payouts to constituent charities. | | | | AGGRESSIVE FUND This new offering includes 85% equity investments, with a mix of large-cap, small-cap and international stocks. The fund will also consider alternative investments when appropriate. 15% of the Aggressive Fund is in fixed income securities. This option is designed to enhance the long-term purchasing power of the principal. It may have greater short-term volatility than the Balanced Fund. It is suitable for donors that have a higher tolerance for variable returns in addition to expectations for higher returns. | | |
| SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE FUND This actively managed portfolio invests in a diversified mix of assets through the PAX World Balanced Fund. Up to 75% of the fund may be invested in stocks and the balance is in bonds. Assets do not include stocks of companies that produce alcohol, tobacco or firearms. | | |
| BOND FUND This portfolio is diversified with 50% of the fund actively managed by PIMCO Investment Management and 50% passively managed in the Vanguard Total Bond Market Index Fund. It is suitable for some clients with higher safety and stability needs than the other investment options. |
